NAIDOC Week Art Exhibition – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy

In its sixth year, Horsham Regional Art Gallery and Goolum Goolum Aboriginal Co-operative are pleased to present NAIDOC Week Art Exhibition 2025 – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, held to coincide with national NAIDOC week celebrations (6-13 July 2025).

This exhibition will include a broad array of works and mediums, showcasing First Nations artists from across the region. NAIDOC Week is a time where all Australians are encouraged to celebrate and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and achievements, participating and contributing to the oldest continuous living cultures on earth. Through this exhibition, we honour the theme of NAIDOC 2025: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.

This year, the National NAIDOC Committee takes an important step toward independence, embracing self-determination as a model for the next generation. With every story shared, every act of resilience remembered, and every cultural practice celebrated, we honour a legacy that reaches far into the past and extends into the future“. National NAIDOC Committee Co-Chair, Aunty Lynette (Professor) Riley.
